Gun amateur Australian golfer Harrison Crowe, who went viral earlier this year after making a sensational shot outside of a pub, yesterday won the Asia Pacific Amateur Championship in Thailand.
“That amateur victory actually gets him an invitation to play the US Masters next year, and yes, the British Open too,” Sky News host Chris Kenny said.
Mr Crowe went viral earlier this year after hitting a shot from outside the Dunvegan Hotel at St Andrews onto the 18th green at the historic golf course around the corner and down the road.
“Unfortunately though, the British Open is at Liverpool next year, not St Andrews, but let’s hope Crowe pops back into St Andrews and the Dunvegan Hotel again on the way home,” Mr Kenny added.
