Monday Night Football: The Pick
The Bengals meet the Browns on Monday Night Football, and boy, is this a tough one to call.
Cincinnati’s offense has found a groove after a sluggish start, amassing 65 total points over the past two games. It’s not all plain sailing for the Bengals, though, having lost WR Ja’Marr Chase to a hip injury. He’ll be a big miss.
Bengals QB Joe Burrow is 0-3 in his short career vs. the Browns, including 0-2 during his rookie season of 2020. While he’s certainly come on leaps and bounds since then, it’s worth remembering ahead of tonight’s game.
The Browns have a dismal 2-5 record this season, but four of the losses have come by a total of nine points, so perhaps the Browns can count themselves unlucky.
Cleveland has one thing going for them: they have won their only primetime matchup of the season, taking down the Steelers in Week 3 on Thursday Night Football.
Cincinnati on the moneyline is a little too long for my liking, considering they’re on the road. Cleveland has shown out in prime time, and Burrow has yet to beat the Browns in his career.
Despite this, I’m still taking Joe Burrow to give the Browns’ defense nightmares on this Halloween night, and I’ll take the Bengals to cover.
