A 47-year-old woman fell off a Brooklyn subway platform and onto the tracks during an allegedly drunken fight early Sunday, police said.
The woman is believed to have been intoxicated and instigated the fight with another woman at the Jay Street-Borough Hall station at about 12:15 a.m., according to cops.
The fight, with a woman estimated to be in her 20s, is just the latest in a series of violent incidents in the subway that have included random shovings and unprovoked stabbings.
During the scuffle, the aggressor fell onto the tracks but didn’t come into contact with a train or the third rail, police said. It’s not clear what caused her to fall.
She was treated at Brooklyn Hospital and was in stable condition early Sunday, cops said.
The other woman fled from the scene and is considered a suspect in the incident.
