Police have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed onboard a bus in broad daylight.

Emergency services rushed to a street in Hounslow, West London, at roughly 2pm today.

A 20-year-old man was taken to hospital with a non life-threatening injury, said the Met Police.

No arrests have yet been made so far as enquiries continue, added the force.

Footage from the scene shows a bus taped off inside a police cordon as forensic officers examine the scene, reports MyLondon.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at about 14:05hrs on Sunday, 30 October to reports of a man stabbed on board a bus on Heston Road in Hounslow.

“Officers, the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended.

“The 20-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment; his injury is not believed to be life-threatening.

“The A4 was closed to traffic whilst emergency services were on scene.

“There have been no arrests and enquiries continue. Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101 quoting reference CAD 3945/30Oct.”

A road is currently closed as police officers remain at the scene.

Travel update website Inrix says: “A3005 Heston Road in both directions closed due to police incident between Sutton Road and Alderney Avenue. Traffic is coping well.”
